Senator Rand Paul: ?We will Filibuster until We Talk about the Debt Ceiling?

It is endgame time for raising the debt ceiling. Nevertheless, it is a good sign that people like Kentucky Senator Rand Paul are openly talking about raising the debt ceiling.

Even more promising is the common ground Paul suggests between the Democrats and people like Paul. He suggested that a heavier burden could be turned onto the rich by having a means test for entitlements. Good idea, but it is only a small step.

Washington will probably bring the prospect of default right up to when the clock runs out, but it is difficult to imagine that there is a majority in both Houses that will fall on their swords and destroy this country. Let?s hope so, anyway.
