Malware Affecting Google Search in Windows OS

We all know that malwares and viruses are made to perform special task and affect your?computer?behavior. Recently Google spotted a specific malware which affects user search pattern and send traffic via proxy sites. Though affected user computer won?t even get to know that their system is infected.

Ad mentioned in blog post, Google announced a new warning message which will appear on search page of users infected with this malware. This warning message will look like this:

Here is an excerpt from official announcement:

?This particular malware causes infected computers to send traffic to Google through a small number of intermediary servers called ?proxies.? We hope that by taking steps to notify users whose traffic is coming through these proxies, we can help them update their antivirus software and remove the infections.?

This is the first time I?m hearing such malware which is affecting search result on infected computers. Though, the only way to get rid of this problem is by updating your antivirus and using some effective antivirus and anti-malwares. I would suggest start using Trojan remover or Anti-malware byte along with your antivirus. For now, only Windows users are affected with this malware. ?Last year Google Added similar notification in Webmaster tool for infected websites.
